What does 10 ATM mean?
That the watch passed a water-resistance test at a pressure of 10 atmospheres, the pressure of water 100 metres deep. In practice it handles swimming, snorkelling and showers, but not scuba diving.
Can I dive with these watches?
The 20 ATM models (3) also handle water sports and skin diving. Scuba diving needs a diver's watch certified to ISO 6425.
How do I look after a water-resistant watch?
Rinse it in fresh water after the sea or the pool, do not press its buttons under water and, if it has a screw-down crown, screw it in fully before you swim. Have the water resistance checked every year and always after a battery change.
